A-Best Industrial stocks stainless steel instrumentation tubing in 316/316L and 304/304L, in both seamless and welded construction, in straight lengths and coils. Our stainless tubing is DFARS compliant, so it's ready for defense and government work. We carry tubing from the mills you trust: Sandvik (now Alleima), Salem Tubacex, Handy, Greenville and Rath Gibson. We also stock Inconel tubing, electropolished stainless tubing for high-purity service, and Teflon (PTFE) and nylon tubing. Pair it with DK-Lok tube fittings and you get the whole system from one counter in San Pedro. Material certs and documents are provided based on customer need.

    Molybdenum-bearing grade for better resistance to chlorides and pitting. The go-to choice for offshore, marine, chemical and instrument air lines.

Tubing FAQs

What does DFARS compliant mean?

The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS 252.225-7009) requires specialty metals, including stainless steel, used on U.S. defense contracts to be melted or produced in the United States or a qualifying country. DFARS-compliant tubing meets that requirement, and we can provide documentation with your order.

Seamless or welded: which do I need?

Seamless tubing has no weld seam and is the usual choice for high-pressure hydraulic and instrumentation lines. Welded tubing costs less and works well for lower-pressure instrument, process and utility service. Not sure? Tell us the media, pressure and temperature and we'll recommend the right tube.

Why does tubing hardness matter?

For compression fittings to seal, the tubing has to be softer than the ferrules. That's why we stock fully annealed tubing with controlled hardness (Sandvik 3R60 is 80 HRB max) for use with two-ferrule instrumentation fittings like DK-Lok.

Can I get material certs?

Yes. Material test reports and other documents are provided based on customer need. Just let us know what your job requires when you order.

What fittings go with it?

We stock DK-Lok tube fittings, plus tube benders and installation tools, so you can get the tubing and everything that connects to it in one order.
